Amanda provides a friendly professional service, working with you to transform your garden and ideas into reality. Her years within the design profession, personal experiences and love of gardening, enable her to develop a project with skill and care, from the first meeting to completion. The design process is broken down into several steps and you can choose how much input you require, with each step being tailored to your budget and needs.

Amanda is proud to support SSAFA at RHS Chelsea with a Sanctuary Garden this May 2022 supported by CCLA, which was awarded a Silver Medal.

 

Profile

Catfoot Garden Design is based in the East Midlands and Amanda has experience within several design-based disciplines. She is twice qualified as a Garden Designer with distinction on each occasion.

Amanda qualified in 1998 from Brackenhurst College in Garden Design and Construction and also passed her RHS certificate at the same time. She graduated from the Pickard School, London in 2013 with a Diploma in Garden Design. Amanda is a pre-registered member of the Society of Garden Designers.

Amanda qualified as a furniture designer in 1984 and has worked within the industry for the last thirty years. Throughout this period she has designed and developed gardens in her spare time and has also worked part-time within the horticultural trade. She is still closely involved with the furniture industry through her role on the court of The Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers as Senior Warden.

Amanda enjoys the challenge of garden design, creating spaces within gardens, the organic development of structures, materials, planting and the whole process as it evolves. Do not forget that she has the experience to design that special piece of furniture or interesting structure your garden may require!

Amanda is fully insured and complies with the new CDM regulations.
