Amanda provides a friendly professional service, working with you to transform your garden and ideas into reality. Her years within the design profession, personal experiences and love of gardening, enable her to develop a project through from the first meeting to completion with skill and care. The design process is taken in several steps and you can choose how much and to what level you require, with each level being tailored to your budget and needs.
Catfoot Garden Design is based in the East Midlands and Amanda has experience within several design based disciplines. She is twice qualified as a Garden Designer with distinction on each occasion.
Amanda qualified in 1998 from Brackenhurst College in Garden Design and Construction and also passed her RHS certificate at the same time, and she graduated from the Pickard School, London in 2013 with a Diploma in Garden Design. She is a pre-registered member of the Society of Garden Designers www.sgd.org.uk
Amanda qualified as a furniture designer in 1984 and has worked within the industry for the last thirty years. Throughout this period she has designed and developed gardens in her spare time and has also worked part time within the horticultural trade. She is still closely involved with the furniture industry through her role on the court of The Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers as First Assistant www.furnituremakers.org.uk
Amanda enjoys the challenge of garden design, creating spaces within gardens, the organic development of structures, materials, planting and the whole process as it evolves.
